ASME Names TriVector as Outstanding Engineering Firm of the Year

On Thursday, Feb. 20, at the eWeek Awards Banquet held in Huntsville, Ala., at the Jackson Conference Center, the North Alabama Section of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers named TriVector as the 2014 Outstanding Engineering Firm of the Year. TriVector Services, Inc., received the award in recognition of its commitment to engineering excellence, its contributions to the engineering community, and strong integrity that is the foundation of the company. Previous recipients of this award include NASA Marshall Flight Center, and the Boeing Company.
Sr. Vice President Tim Kauffman accepted the ASME award on behalf of TriVector and later commented, "Receiving such an award in an area reported to have the highest per capita concentration of engineers in the country makes it that much more of an honor for our growing company. The award is also a realization of our vision to be recognized for engineering excellence in this industry." Kauffman as 18 years of engineering experience at NASA and five more as a NASA consultant.
Initiated in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), National Engineers Week (now known as DiscoverE; http://www.discovere.org/) has been celebrated annually by the engineering community during the third week of February. The purpose of eWeek is to acknowledge engineering accomplishments and to advance the engineering profession through outreach, education, celebration, and volunteerism. eWeek is observed by over 70 engineering, education, and cultural societies, and more than 50 corporations and government agencies. Over 300 local engineers attended the North Alabama eWeek celebration on Feb. 20, 2014.
