Marc Verhage named Sr. Vice President of Civil Space Strategic Business Unit at TriVector Services Inc.

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama (Aug. 7, 2015) - TriVector Services, Inc. is pleased to announce that Mr. Marc Verhage will be assuming responsibilities as Sr. Vice President of the Civil Space Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This SBU provides key support in the form of project management, systems engineering and integration, modeling and simulation, guidance navigation and control, configuration and data management, avionics and software integration and system affordability to NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) and other projects.
Mr. Verhage has both seven years of executive experience and technical leadership in private industry along with 17 years of experience with the United States Government in key technical and strategic roles in the development and deployment of NASA's International Space Station, Space Shuttle Block Upgrades, X-37 Autonomous Landing and Test Vehicle and Exploration Mission Directorate Launch Systems and ARES Upper Stage Element Office. He has supported efforts at all levels of NASA including chief engineer of the Ares I Crew Launch Vehicle Upper Stage Element.

Verhage will continue to serve in other Sr. Vice President responsibilities for TriVector Services. Verhage is responsible for the business development, operation and improvement of day-to-day operations in executing company tasks, contract tasks and pursuing opportunities in engineering services for TriVector.
In 2000, Verhage received his Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville as well as a Fellowship in Engineering Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 1991, he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Mississippi State University. His publications include: Experimental Investigation of Joint Stiffness and Composite Pressure Vessel Performance for Pyramid and Inverted Pyramid Joints, 2000; The Advanced Engineering Environment (AEE) Project for NASA's Next Generation Launch Technologies (NGLT) Program, AIAA 2004-0202; and NASA ARES 1 Crew Launch Vehicle Upper Stage Overview, AIAA-2007-5831. In 2010, Verhage received AIAA’s Aerospace Engineer of the Year award.
