Sr. Vice President Dr. Joey Shelton Appointed Member of Advisory Board to Alabama Space Grant Consortium

TriVector Services, Inc. is pleased to announce that Dr. Joey Shelton, Sr. Vice President of Defense Systems, has been appointed as a member of the Alabama Space Grant Consortium’s (ASGC) Industry Advisory Board (IAB). Consisting of 12 members of Alabama industry and chaired by Lockheed Martin Vice President Robert Lightfoot, the IAB will advise ASGC on programs that demonstrate relevance and benefit to the aerospace industry. Mr. Lightfoot and participating ASGC member universities nominated the advisory board members, who have the option of serving up to a four-year term. The inaugural board meeting is scheduled for June 28, 2019 in Huntsville, AL.
The IAB’s primary goal is to guide the ASGC in its development of the future aerospace workforce, which will be faced with expanding opportunities within the space economy. This includes cross-collaboration with multiple agencies and organizations to drive these opportunities. Additionally, the IAB will responsible for advising the ASGC management committee on Alabama industry’s relevance and propose new programs and funding in Washington, DC.
